Day creams and night creams, lip masks and makeup removers, sprays and serums, sunscreens and luminizers… Do we really need them all? Truthfully, when it comes to skincare, simplicity is key. So long as your skin is cleansed, hydrated, and balanced, you’re in the clear for a clear complexion.

Careful Selection:

When picking your simple skincare system it’s important to look at the products’ ingredient lists! The European Union bans approximately 1,400+ ingredients from their cosmetic and personal care products. In the United States, we only ban 30. Given this, it’s our job to be a little more diligent in our research and opt for products that replace harsh chemicals with clean, naturally derived ingredients.

Ingredient Wish List:

Since you’re using products with fewer ingredients, you should look for ones with multi-tasking abilities! First one that comes to mind? Coconut oil, of course! Our hero ingredient can do it all. We use oil to cleanse our face of makeup, dirt, and other impurities, without leaving it dry or altering its pH balance. We also use it to hydrate and deliver vitamins, mineral, and antioxidants to the skin. Another stellar skincare ingredient? Rose extract. We use this gentle antiseptic and astringent to keeps pore-clogging bacteria and blemishes away. We also use it for its anti-inflammatory properties; a couple spritz of our toner will calm and soothe even the most sensitive skin.
